Hinchley Wood Has A Ball!

Our team from our Hinchley Wood office were delighted to support Hinchley Wood Secondary School by taking a table for the team and some valued contacts of ours.

The evening started with a champagne reception followed by a sumptuous 3 course meal and speeches from local MP Dominic Raab and the School Head.

The evening was in support of fund raising for this excellent school. Roly Matthews, Manager of our Hinchley Wood office said, ” We had a fun evening, we took along a local developer and solicitor and met lots of clients we’d dealt with in the past.” Pictured are our local team with Jaideep Mazumdar from Jatoma Developments standing left, and Anna Berry, sitting second left, from Galloway Hughes Solicitors in Esher.

Striking to perfection

“Team GB” from all our branches enjoyed a night of ten pin bowling at Tolworth bowl and curry yesterday evening.  Split into four teams, our winners of the evening were a team lead by our Claygate colleague Chris Burton (pictured below), who incidentally also won our highest score competition.  After two slightly competitive games the teams headed to Panshi in Hinchley Wood for a lovely evening meal.

What the Dickens?

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was……”

It was in fact the Victorian era, renowned of Charles Dickens, when this classic London style home was created. Since then it has been reformed and extensively updated on multiple occasions, with successive owners adding to the rich patina of individuality. We could wax lyrical about matters like the cast iron fireplace with a slate hearth and the exposed beams, or the essence of cosiness that permeates throughout, or the exquisite kitchen with modern fittings and fine granite, the lovely sanitary-ware, but you really do need to see this house 1st hand to grasp why it is so very special. If you are already familiar with Esher then you’ll know what an exceptional location this home occupies overlooking, as it does, Esher Green with all its colourful history, yet amazingly almost in the epicentre of Esher’s heart.

Dickens “age of wisdom” epitomised in his “Tale of Two Cities” is still to be savoured in Church Street, Esher. Allow us to present you with a copy of this enchanting book on the day you move in!
